*GIFT AID
If you are a tax payer, we would be grateful if you would consider completing allowing us to collect Gift Aid by ticking to agree above, if you have not done so previously. It could mean something like an extra £500 per annum to the Society which will make a big difference to how many monographs that we can publish.

Membership is open to all who are interested in the activities of our society,
subject to our terms and conditions.
Data Protection Act 2018
Ayrshire Archaeological & Natural History Society:
- holds only the minimum information on any member which will enable it to contact that person to supply programmes, publications and other relevant information to that member;
- will not pass any of that information to a third party (unless legally required);
- will delete the records should a person cease to be a member.
The membership information consists of:
- name;
- address;
- telephone contact number (if available);
- email address (if available).
This information is held by the Membership Secretary in the form of:
- card index;
- computer database spreadsheet.
The names and address may be passed to those who assist with the delivery of letters, flyers and publications.
The email addresses are passed to the Treasurer in order that relevant emailed information, and information from publications from relevant external societies, can be forwarded.
The Outings/Socials Convenor also holds information for particular events:
- name;
- address;
- telephone contact number (if available);
- email address (if available).
This information is deleted after the event and only the numbers attending recorded.
Minutes of Committee Meetings will be held in digital/hard copy form by the current Committee Members and will be destroyed should a person cease to be a Committee Member.
Members have the right to ask to ask that:
- communication is only in letter form;
- communication is by telephone;
- communication is by email.
